Galería López Quiroga

Located in the third section of Polanco, this gallery is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary artists such as Francisco Toledo and David Alfaro Siquerios, but it is not limited to Mexican art. It also showcases Latin American artists who seek to express themselves through painting, drawing, printmaking, or photography.

An extra highlight of this space is the way it promotes art, since it not only exhibits works, but also publishes catalogs and books dedicated to painting. So, by purchasing one of its works, you support both this gallery and the arts.

Proyecto Monclova

To talk about this gallery, we have to talk about Proyecto Monclova, an organization that has been dedicated to promoting contemporary art in Mexico City since 2005 and creating spaces for artists looking to establish themselves in the art world. Previously, its headquarters were located in the Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, but some time ago they moved to Polanco, into a building designed by architect Andrés Pastor, an architect and urban planner who has worked on different projects in Mexico City, such as Parque Cantera and Plurifamiliar La Bugambilia.

The works housed within this space are varied and feature different styles. Among the most notable artists is Gabriel de la Mora, an artist who explores minimalism across different surfaces, and Edgar Orlaineta, whose work is more closely associated with postmodernism. Works by artist Alejandra Venegas are also exhibited; through wooden surfaces, she presents Mexican mountain landscapes.

This project is ideal for discovering new ways of looking at art, different perspectives, and new paths for beginning to appreciate Mexican talent.

Galería 526

Galería 526 of the Seminario de la Cultura Mexicana is a space that opens its doors to different works and exhibitions by Mexican artists. This space has hosted everything from photography and sculpture to painting.

But they are not only dedicated to presenting works: one of their main functions is to promote art through conferences, talks, and workshops offered with the goal of bringing people closer to art.

Galería LTBART

Let There Be Art, better known by its initials LTBART, opened its doors in 2014 as a refuge for the visual arts. The works presented here are varied, ranging from photography to sculpture.

Its collection includes works such as D**ecadence by artist Tyler Shields, who presents photographs inspired by the reign of Marie Antoinette in France. The uniqueness of this space lies in its concentration of artists from different countries, such as Hiro Ando, a Japanese artist, and Guido Argentini, originally from Italy.

Its founder, Francisco Gutierrez, a collector and architect, is the person behind this project and describes it as both a gallery and a store where visitors can purchase a piece of art that serves as an accessory for anyone passionate about this discipline.
Address: Emilio Castelar 230, Polanco III Sección

Galería Torre del Reloj

The iconic Torre de Polanco, located in Parque Lincoln, is not only an iconic image of Polanco, but also an open-air gallery.

Although its original purpose was to house pigeon nests, over time this idea changed until it became a space dedicated to promoting art such as drawing, photography, and painting.

Its cultural offering is varied, as exhibitions change every two weeks, but it is always a good option for seeing the variety of talent found in this area.
Address: Edgar Allan Poe, Polanco III Sección
