Mexico City

Mexico City is a very friendly city, so you will have no problem meeting interesting people, especially others in one of the many coworking spaces. Because it is such a large city, there are endless things to do and experience in Mexico City. In addition, there are numerous tours, day trips, nearby ruins and destinations to explore. Mexico City is an international destination that attracts expats and digital nomads from all over the world.

Playa del Carmen

This former fishing village now attracts tourists, expats, retirees and digital nomads. Playa del Carmen is one of the best cities in Mexico for digital nomads because, while not all parts of Mexico have an internet connection good enough for the needs of remote workers, especially in coastal cities, Playa del Carmen does. This is precisely why so many people end up here, in addition to the abundance of coworking spaces, the large community of digital nomads, the amount of things to do and, of course, the beaches.

Oaxaca

Located in the southern state of the same name and full of culture and authenticity, Oaxaca is an excellent choice for digital nomads. Oaxaca is one of the most culturally rich states in Mexico. There are numerous activities to keep you busy. Its capital, Oaxaca City, has attracted artists and chefs for years and is considered the gastronomic capital of Mexico. These days, digital nomads head to Oaxaca for a slower pace of life that is also full of culture.

Tulum

With Mayan ruins on its doorstep, beautiful beaches and an international crowd, Tulum has become one of Mexico's best cities for digital nomads over the years. There are many things to do in Tulum, with the party as the main attraction. This is an absolutely perfect place for digital nomads in Mexico. Between the beautiful beaches, the large community of digital nomads and how small the city is, you'll be able to make contacts and friends quickly.

San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is quite the opposite of Tulum. This colonial town has a quieter atmosphere, with more emphasis on art and culture. Still, there are numerous things to do for digital nomads. With its beautiful architecture, colonial charm and perfect climate, San Miguel is a coveted place to live. It is, however, one of the most expensive cities on the list, but it is worth a visit for at least a month.

Puerto Vallarta

This Pacific coast city has always been popular with tourists, expatriates and retirees. Nowadays it is also being chosen by digital nomads. Puerto Vallarta is unique among Mexico's coastal cities in that it exudes a lot of authentic Mexican culture. It is also a well-equipped city, with an international airport, large hospitals and shopping centers and a solid infrastructure. It is an excellent choice for digital nomads in Mexico because you get a lot in one city and at relatively affordable prices. There are many things to see and do in Puerto Vallarta, whether you are interested in beaches, mountains, food, culture or sports.

Merida

Merida is perfect for digital workers looking for a laid-back atmosphere and cultural immersion, as Merida is considered the Cultural Capital of the Yucatan. The average age here is a bit older, so it's more about immersing yourself in Mexican culture than partying. However, there are still plenty of fun things to see and do in Mérida to keep you busy.
